Archive and restore tasks

Archive is a quiet place for tasks you no longer want in your active list. Archiving removes a task from Today and Tasks without deleting it, so you can change your mind later.

Archive a task

Open the task, then select Archive task. Its title, due date, previous status, and notes remain with it. The task leaves active planning and no longer appears on Today.

Find archived tasks

Open Tasks, then select Archived at the bottom of the screen. Archived tasks are shown with the most recently archived first, along with the date each task was archived.

Restore a task

Find the task and select Restore. The task returns to Tasks with the status and due date it had before Archive. For an unfinished task, Restore does not mark it Complete. It also does not create a Plan date or place the task on Today. Open the restored task from Tasks if you want to plan it for a particular day.

If there are no archived tasks, there is nothing you need to do. The archive is available only when you need to recover something.
