Use the curated task lenses

The Tasks screen includes four fixed, app-curated lenses. Every lens is included with Free and changes only the view of tasks you already own. You can select one lens or combine several.

What each lens shows

  • Quick wins shows active tasks estimated at 1 to 15 minutes, shortest first.
  • Deep work shows active tasks estimated at 45 to 1,440 minutes, longest first.
  • Revisit shows active tasks created at least 21 local calendar days ago when neither their current Plan date nor any previous Plan date falls within the last 21 days or later, oldest first.
  • Due soon shows active tasks overdue or due within the next two local calendar days, unless already planned today. The nearest due date comes first.

Tasks without an estimate do not appear in Quick wins or Deep work.

Return to the full list

A task can appear in more than one lens, and search works within the selected lenses. When several lenses are active, Tasks shows anything that matches at least one of them. Select each active lens again to remove it. If the result is empty, choose Show all tasks to clear every lens at once.

If a lens is empty, the calm empty state does not change or remove any tasks.

These lenses are intentionally app-owned. There are no saved searches, custom filters, tags, projects, or user-defined queries to configure.

That fixed model is the opposite of a custom workspace; the Dayprints vs Notion comparison explains the trade-off.
